10 years ago, ALS opened the largest geochemistry laboratory in the world, located in North Vancouver, Canada. Since that time North Vancouver has earned the global reputation of being the premier provider of geochemistry services through continuous method development, innovative R&D focus and strong client service culture.
To commemorate this milestone and the site’s achievements over the past decade, an anniversary celebration was held on September 12th. Employees braved the Vancouver rain and huddled under tents to enjoy the catered event including hors d’oeuvres, mocktails, chocolate fountains and birthday cake. As employees mingled, they rocked to a local band, which inspired at least one conga line and lots of dancing. Employees were also wowed by a roving magician, got comical portraits done by a team of caricature artists and left their mark by painting on a giant ALS mural.
This celebration provided a great opportunity to reflect on the successes of the laboratory and say a big “thank-you” to the employee group who made those successes possible.
